Why did the customer contact us?

Our client in the Coastal Oaks community in Nocatee contacted us about a smell in her home that came on when the 3.5-ton Carrier air conditioning system came on. She had noticed it within the last few weeks. She asked for and scheduled a service inspection be performed to determine the root cause of her problem. Once we knew the cause, she asked for us to provide the solution.

Solutions provided:

We performed a complete inspection of the air handler, condenser, ductwork, central vacuum system, insulation, attic, and roof. We found the flex ductwork system to be undersized. The evaporator coil had a smell to it, and there was mold growing on the coil, drain pan, and air handler panel. The central vacuum system had been used recently and the discharge was vented directly into the attic, not outside of the home. We replaced the undersized ductwork and sized it properly, replaced the Carrier heat pump system with a Trane high efficiency Inverter heat pump system. We installed a wifi thermostat with Geo Fencing. Our 5-year Total Care Club was included on the system so that it is properly serviced and maintained for the next 5 years.
