Griffin Service install a new Amana high efficiency heat pump system controlled by a new Honeywell, wifi, programmable thermostat. We removed the old hot water heater and installed a new RHEEM, high efficiency water heater. The electrical wiring had been rigged to run between the water heater and air handler. We rewired the high voltage so it worked correctly and safely! We cleaned and sealed all the ductwork in the attic to help reduce dust and keep the home as clean as possible. We cleaned up after we were finished with our installation so the area was in better shape then we found it. We started up all systems and performed a full commissioning to ensure proper operations for our client.

We located an improper set up in the program. We corrected the error and set all configurations properly so that the Honeywell thermostat could communicate properly with the Good Home automation system. We got everything working correctly and the owner also chose our 1-year Total Care Club to clean, service, and maintain both of his Carrier heat pump systems.

We performed our Total Care Club member's heating season problem prevention super tune up. We cleaned the coils and drain line, we waxed the cabinets, we inspected the ductwork for air flow and leaks, and made sure the system was operating according to approved manufacturers specifications. The system is working but has some rust. We informed the owners and suggested they start to budget for a replacement when this system fails.

Our technician determined the system to be low of freon. He performed a leak search and found a leaking accumulator, coil, and filter dryer. The Carrier system was 13 years old. We provided options to our customer for the cost of repair as well as other improvements. Our client chose to have a new Trane heat pump system installed with new ductwork, a PMAC filter, an UltraViolet Light, blown in R19 insulation, and a Thermal Radiant Barrier applied to the roof deck. This is part of our Healthy Family Healthy Home solution and it works amazingly well. We replaced the water heater for our customer and cleaned the dryer vent while we were there to save them money. We included our 5-year Total Care Club so the system is expertly maintained for 5 years with No Worries!!

We removed the existing ductwork. We installed new ductwork, sized properly for the heat pump system and the individual zones, and reused the existing zone controls and dampers. We fully commissioned our installation by checking the static pressure and air flow for each zone and the system as a whole. Everything is now comfortable and breathing well.

We performed a complete inspection of the air handler, condenser, ductwork, central vacuum system, insulation, attic, and roof. We found the flex ductwork system to be undersized. The evaporator coil had a smell to it, and there was mold growing on the coil, drain pan, and air handler panel. The central vacuum system had been used recently and the discharge was vented directly into the attic, not outside of the home. We replaced the undersized ductwork and sized it properly, replaced the Carrier heat pump system with a Trane high efficiency Inverter heat pump system. We installed a wifi thermostat with Geo Fencing. Our 5-year Total Care Club was included on the system so that it is properly serviced and maintained for the next 5 years.

We installed a new customer made wine cellar refrigeration system inside their home. We added a new thermostat wire to control the new, state of the art, wine chilling system so that the wine can be kept at the proper temperature and humidity to maintain the integrity of the wine, make sure the labels do not peel off, and that the cork does not dry out. The Moet & Chandon, the Cristal, the Armand de Brignac, and the Louis the XV are all in a perfectly conditioned space and are ready to pour.

When we arrived the compressor was not running in the Carrier air conditioning condensing unit outside. We replaced the capacitor and the system began to work. We checked the rest of the system and found the condensate drain line to be clogged. We cleaned the drain line and went back to check the outdoor unit. The compressor was not working again. The compressor had failed. We checked the warranty with Carrier and the compressor was not under warranty. We then installed a new Amana R410a Puron condensing unit that afternoon and had their family back online and air conditioning that same day. Good thing too because at the heat pump condensing unit outside the temperature was over 110 degrees.

We cleaned and serviced his Carrier heat pump system, Daiken ductless mini split system, and Carrier whole home automatic standby generator. We replaced the spacegard filter and the Carrier ultraviolet lights. We checked the refrigerant charge, clean the indoor and outdoor coils, tightened all electrical connections, and waxed the cabinets. We inspected the ductwork and reported that is was dirty and needed to be cleaned and sealed. We then cleaned and sealed the ductwork to give our client the best indoor air quality possible. Due to the age of the Carrier heat pump system we gave our client a proposal to replace the air conditioning system and the ductwork. The system is working now so we will replace the system in the fall when the weather s cooler. Our client purchased our 5-year Total Care Club so that their systems will be kept in perfect condition with out worry.
